Kambo Sessions

We will be with you from the very beginning to the very end. From when you first come to this site and even after you have left for home once the ceremony has completed. Healing is not a job for us. Its a calling and its what we do. First as a devote Sikh and second as a Peruvian trained Kambo practitioner. However remember, your Kambo session is dependent upon what you need and that which transpires is essentially going to be between you and the medicine. This is a beautiful innerstanding that you will understand after the first ceremony is completed and you have recovered back to full strength. A proper guide is always needed however, the journey is yours to experience. It is most definitely is a spiritual experience and sometimes a first for some. Kambo is however NOT a psychedelic so it is not hallucinatory in that sense. It is more of a purging/laxative agent that helps the body move out built up toxins in a rapid manner. The rapidness of it is what causes the spiritual experience in most cases. We do everything to facilitate the experience and are always there for you. Discomfort, however, is imperative when it comes to the process of growth, and transformation, so, you’ll most likely come to face the same discomfort when sitting with Kambo. Sometimes more than one has experienced before. The amazing part is that it only lasts 20-40 mins and what you gain from it, is something that will always be remembered and not easily forgotten by your mind, body and Spirit. Big positive life changes come after a first Kambo ceremony once good integration is completed. This means that some things might unravel a bit around you (just like they did in the beginning of the ceremony), however, by having conscious awareness, courage, and faith, our Spirit/Soul will direct us where to look and where our biggest issues are that need taking care of. We then get to purge those parts of us (the middle part of our ceremony) and then we get the sigh of relief at the end (where all the positive changes come through). So the Kambo ceremony will mimic what will be happening in the days and weeks after the ceremony. The medicine is that intelligent.

The discomfort of Kambo is generally followed by a euphoric state and a heightened sense of well-being once the session has ended and the cool down phase comes on. Some feel particularly energized after the session, while others rest in peaceful relaxation with ceremonial music in the background. If you are feeling nervous about the "ordeal" aspect of Kambo, just know that hesitancy is normal for your first time with something new. Kambo is not painful in a bad sense and you will come to find that discomfort is a good thing and part of the growth and transformation process.

The only safe application of Kambo is through minor blister points made in the skin to which the secretion is applied. The burn is not deep, with only the epidermis removed, allowing an entry “gate” for the Kambo into the body. Typically 3-5 “gates” (4 normal) are opened in the skin for an introductory Kambo session. The client is asked to drink about 1 liter of water before applying the Kambo dots to the open gates and then another 1/2 liter after Kambo is applied if/when needed to help facilitate the purging process. Once the secretion is applied to the gates, the immediate effects are quick and intense but short-lived, usually about 20-25 minutes for the major sensations within the body.

Within 30 seconds to a minute of the Kambo session, the client will experience a warm flushing sensation over the entire body. The heart rate will increase slightly with a light to heavy throbbing sensation in the head. The lips, ears, and tongue may go numb and tingly and may also be accompanied by dizziness or light-headedness, and these sensations last approximately 5-7 minutes, followed by 10-15 minutes of flu-like symptoms where the client may feel weak, achy, and nauseous. Stomach aches are common as Kambo and the water that was consumed works through the intestinal system. Once purging through the throat starts to occur, the stomach aches tend to subside however even if throat purging does not occur, purging through the backside will eventually occur during the ceremony and after the ceremony is completed as well.

It is not a requirement that a throat purge or any purge occur during the ceremony to receive the benefits of Kambo. It is merely a pharmacological effect of Kambo that most experience and is not as dramatic as you will find on some of these sensationalized YouTube videos. Because of the water consumed beforehand, the purge is typically smooth and without discomfort. However, there are many forms of purging. Laughing, crying, shaking, sweating, purging, deep breaths and using the restroom. We are not going to have the client water board themselves just to get the "purge", when there are many types of purging. Chasing after sensations gets people hurt and we don't prescribe to that what-so-ever. We allow the body to work naturally and within safe limits. Each session might look differently in how you expel the energy. Not everyone vomits and we like to make sure clients know that it is okay if they don't vomit and also let them know that if they want to learn how to manually vomit, that we are trained in teaching that as well through own personal experience and helping others through the process. When a throat purge is accomplished correctly, the stomachs built up bile is excavated and that is amazing healing for the stomach and surrounding body parts. Everything does not need to happen in just 1 session.

After the purge, the flu-like symptoms dissipate rather rapidly, and the client is usually left feeling very relaxed and may be washed over with a feeling of euphoria. After approximately 30-45 minutes of rest, the client will gain strength and energy back into the body and will be able to continue their day as usual. The initial benefits from a Kambo session will be experienced in the following hours, days, and even sometimes weeks following the session. It is an experience that will never be forgotten. The long term effects is something to be experienced. Even just one Kambo ceremony can permanently shift stuck patterns and addictions and get the client on the right track again.

After Kambo is removed from the skin, the entry points are closed with a Peruvian anti-bacterial/fungal tree sap (Dragon's Blood). This helps the entry points heal faster and acts as a "liquid bandage", while offering a secure antibacterial barrier. DO NOT cover points with bandages. DO NOT pick at the points or try to remove/clean off the Dragon's Blood. If possible, do not apply anything to the entry points other than saline solution or water and soap to cleanse, and Dragon’s Blood to protect for healing.
